this game has saved my life. i had a stroke in 2022 and the doctors told my daughters i would not make it but after a year in the hospital i am still here. the cutom mode to the game i know the true gamers do not like but for meit is only reson i can play my right arm dont work and i am bedridden i cannot stand up or walk i can only sit on sie of the bed and play. my daudhter has my computer on a table so can pull to the bed. becase of my handicaps if no for the custom setting iwuld nt be here.

It took me a long time to realize that it is designed like an mmo. That is to say that your actions in the game leave no impact. Areas you conquer and clear eventually go back to the way they were before. You left no impact when you struggled so hard and finally cleared the area. You collect flames from altars that help you upgrade and stuff. I thought that reaching these altars and collecting the flame was the challenge and goal. But, no. The flame repopulates the altar, so you can just return to the same one later and collect another flame. I really don't like that. Those two things killed the game for me. I want to see real and permanent change when I conquer an area. Instead, everything just respawns. Like in an mmo. You leave no impact. I fell off. I'll prob check out 1.0, but definitely not my kinda game anymore. Some very good attributes to the game, but I like to beat a game. Not just visit it while it lives on without me.
