i love how smooth this game feels and the artstyle is so clean. the mechanics are super unique compared to normal rhythm games because the enemies actually move and have their own patterns instead of just random notes falling down. the soundtracks r insane too, especially the tracks for pizza tower, celeste, super meat boy, and shovel knight.

Paywall of the Necrodancer, is what the game should be called. a LOT of good songs are marked up to not as much as the game but a LOT for just being a few songs you can play. The game itself is OK but honestly its a pretty generic equivalent DDR type game, but with chars from the OG game. The music is good, difficulty is there but the INTEREST to want to play it and beat it is kind of lacking. SOME levels including "challenges" are just a rather significant learning curve to practice and beat but to me, the game just doesn't hold my interest enough for that. There is story mode and a song mode are roughly it. The story mode is somewhat boring, but I am not super far in. MAYBE it gets better, but if it can't even hold my interest this early... eh. WIsh they would do more games like Caydence of Hyrule. TLDR: OG much much better and feels a lot more FLESHED out. Decent beat game, but lacks the creativity of the OG. Big sale for abut $5? Yeah, worth. Full price? No.
