Sulfur is a good game with a lot of potential and a bunch of odd design choices. Most of the items are useless, it focuses a lot on food, there are game-breaking gun builds but it's not a roguelike so everyone can just make them at some point. A lot went into the game, though, and there's lots of fun to be had. I also appreciate any boomer shooter that isn't non-stop adrenaline hyperspeed timed speedrun bs. You can take your time in this one, build up your base before you try to beat the higher maps, mess around with gun builds. Fun game.

lost all of my best items to a ghost stuck in the wall invincible. Its very fun and addictive with great movement (IF you have the clothing for it) and a flexible gun building system. Unfortunately splash damage is wildly inconsistent and you will get hit by things nowhere near you. The nature of losing everything when you die is a fine mechanic that keeps you focused however, the fact that it can all go away just because the game is painfully janky really ruins the experience. Would be recommended if it didn't take another 10 hours just to get a similar outfit that was fun. Good items are very rare and trash is everywhere. Questing is downright broken sometimes taking 10 runs to finally see the shopkeepers you need to turn in items. There are many things i like about this game but the issues are way to glaring to recommend it to anyone.
