I’ve been a Battlefield fan for many years, and honestly, I don’t think Battlefield 6 is all that different from the other major Battlefield titles and it is still very much Battlefield. The atmosphere isn’t as strong as what we had in Battlefield 1 or Battlefield V, but compared to Battlefield 2042, there has been a huge improvement. The beta especially felt much fresher and more exciting. Unfortunately, I feel like the game has started to lose that feeling over time. The newly added maps are often too similar to each other, and the game is starting to feel repetitive, something I don’t remember ever feeling with a Battlefield game before. The maps are probably my biggest issue. A lot of them feel empty, lack personality, and simply aren’t that enjoyable to play. There are maps I barely play at all because of this. The class system is another problem. The classes often feel poorly designed and their roles are too mixed together. For example, Medic can end up doing things that should traditionally be the Engineer’s job. This makes the classes feel less distinct and takes away some of the teamwork and identity that made the class system special in previous Battlefield games. On the other hand, I really like the addition of new and experimental game modes. This is one of the areas where the game feels like it is actually trying something new. Weapon customization is also great. You can build your weapon pretty much the way you want, and there are plenty of options to experiment with. I also think the cosmetic items are generally well designed. They look cool while still fitting reasonably well with the overall setting of the game. However, the store bundles are simply too expensive. Personally, I’m not going to spend as much money on a cosmetic bundle as I spent on the actual game, especially for skins and outfits that I can barely even see while playing an FPS. But at the end of the day, that’s EA’s decision. Despite all of these criticisms, Battlefield 6 is genuinely fun. When everything comes together; the gunplay, destruction, vehicles, team fights and chaos, it still delivers that Battlefield experience that I’ve always enjoyed. New seasons and updates are also being released regularly, so I’m interested to see how the game develops over time. Overall, I’d say longtime Battlefield fans will probably find a lot to enjoy here, and if you’re new to the series, I think it’s worth giving it a chance. It’s not perfect, but it’s still Battlefield.

Battlefield player since the old BF2 and BF Vietnam. I still suck with an awful k/d ratio. But hey i play medic and revive. ⚪ About secureboot I had skipped 2042 and 5 at launch. And this one too because of secureboot requirement. It seems some players bricked their PC changing their bios settings. For sure nobody wants that, but asking AI, i was lucky enough to have already the good settings. Check yours before buying (you also need TPM 2.0 turned on). Win + R → tape msinfo32 Your bios has to be UEFI (not legacy) Win + X → disk management on disk 0 properties GPT you're ok / MBR you'll have to reinstall windows ⚪ About the campaign It's extremely patriotic to the caricature. Just don't take it seriously, as except that it's a really fun campaign. 9 missions, mostly hidden corridors yes, but there is a good environment and missions variety and a good rythm. It's like 5h short, didn't have time to get bored. Graphically it's stunning and well justifies the PC requirements. ⚪ About multiplayer There are still players on EU/US servers. Some are angry because of controller players and Chinese high ping players that join us. Having played both with kb mouse and controller, nah it's not easier with a controller except for vehicles. And anyway with 64 players, Individual performance ultimately doesn't matter much and gets lost in the crowd, which is actually why i play it. You can join or leave in the middle of a game to play for 10 minutes, and no one even notices. It requires little commitment and isn't very time-consuming. It's the only game that was powerful enough to cheer me up lately, like a nice comforting burger. At least until Gray Zone Warfare 0.5 releases. Then i'll switch between both !

Do not spend your money or your time here. It's not the Battlefield game you're hoping it is or that we were promised. This game is completely submerged in technical debt, has one of the worst quality assurance of any FPS and at this point is likely an outsourced vibe coded mess that's rapidly deteriorating. The laundry list of bugs, broken mechanics, baffling design decisions, missing features, audio issues and a litany of other problems is longer than the games credits list. They have withheld content and legacy features to sell back to you and pad out roadmaps for months and now a year after launch they still use bug fixes and patch notes as content and as a courtesy to the community as if it wasn't their job or expected that what you release is functional and of acceptable quality for a paid product. I wont drown you in lists of bugs and issues, there's plenty on YouTube for that. Instead I'll just say the most recent update and the final phase of season 4 has literally broken more than it added and of the 2 "content" things it did add, a reticle update and proximity chat, one is broken on console and the latter was literally removed from the game 24 hours later. Bugs like no downed mini map, black screen, flare bug and many more were added or returned. Every patch adds more new bugs, brings back old ones and "fixes" don't actually end up fixed. Base game modes removed. RedSec modes completely removed with no communication. I've been playing BF since BC1, have thousands of hours in these games and I love this franchise with everything I got. I want so desperately to love this game and god knows I tried but THIS IS NOT IT. Despite what these Dice apologists and people so battered and abused by this clown show that they have Stockholm syndrome will try and tell you, it is really that bad. Everything you've seen and heard online is true. Its comically amateur and not deserving of your investment.
