A Masterclass in Storytelling, Player Agency, and Letting Go CD Projekt Red didn't just build an RPG; they created a profound reflection on the nature of relationships and trust. As a massive fan of narrative-driven open-world games, I have never seen a title handle player agency with such psychological maturity. The game teaches you that true love and protection aren't about controlling someone's fate or shielding them from every mistake, but trusting them to fight their own battles. Watching Ciri gain her independence and step into her own strength to face the White Frost—simply because I chose to stand back, support her as an equal, and let her vent her frustrations—was one of the most moving experiences I've ever had in a game. The level of meticulous care the developers poured into this world is staggering. You can see it in the deep, responsive combat mechanics that force you to perfectly time every dodge and strike, and you can feel it in the subtle, unspoken visual storytelling. The brilliant contrast between Eredin’s arrogant, theatrical mockery of Crach an Craite and Geralt’s cold, pragmatic professionalism when disarming Eredin speaks volumes about who these characters are without a single word of exposition. Visually, the game is an absolute triumph. From the haunting, surreal environments in Hearts of Stone to the breathtaking, sun-drenched vineyards of Toussaint in Blood and Wine, the art direction is so flawless that I have captured enough in-game photo mode screenshots to keep my PC's desktop wallpaper slideshow rotating for months. The expansions themselves are masterworks that put entire standalone games to shame. Transitioning from the brilliant psychological thriller of Hearts of Stone into the grand epilogue of Blood and Wine gave the journey the exact closure it deserved. Retiring at Corvo Bianco, hanging up my Grandmaster Wolven gear, and finally seeing Triss walk into the courtyard after all the chaos we survived was the ultimate emotional payoff. You can feel the developers' immense respect for the players and the lore in every single frame, line of dialogue, and carefully crafted quest. This isn't just a game to play; it's a world to live in. An absolute, undeniable masterpiece.

I spent 5 dollars on this, I got what is probably the richest game world ever, amazing quests and side quests, beautiful character arcs, a huge expansion with dozens of hours worth of base game and DLC stories and exploration. As if that wasn't enough, today I got a massive remaster for free, with a significant overhaul. I don't think I've ever had 4.99$ go this far in my life, best money spent ever. Keep it up CDPR!

Literally my favourite game of all time but the remastered is completely broken. Seems to be an AMD issue. Performance for me is flawless on Ultra settings 4k highest fps but the game looks aweful. Grass is black, colours are flashing, shadows look bad. Overall its worse in every way. I've tried every setting to see if it changes anything but nothing helps.
