Recommended14 hours playedEnglishGarten of Banban 0, developed and published by Euphoric Brothers, takes players back to the beginning of the franchise's strange and unsettling story. Acting as a prequel, it explores the origins of Banban's Kindergarten before the events of the main series, offering long-time fans a chance to uncover hidden truths while also serving as an accessible starting point for newcomers. Instead of relying solely on shock value, the game builds its appeal through mystery, encouraging players to investigate the facility's secrets and discover how its seemingly cheerful atmosphere became something far more disturbing. The adventure begins with the player waking up in a mysterious location with little understanding of how they arrived there. From that point forward, exploration becomes the heart of the experience. Every room, corridor, and abandoned area hints at forgotten experiments, unexplained disappearances, and the tragic history hidden beneath the colorful walls. The game consistently creates a sense of curiosity by allowing environmental details to tell much of the story, rewarding players who take their time to examine their surroundings rather than rushing toward the next objective. Gameplay focuses on first-person exploration combined with straightforward puzzle-solving that keeps the pace moving without becoming overly demanding. Most challenges revolve around interacting with objects, unlocking new areas, and interpreting clues scattered throughout the environment. This accessible design allows the narrative to remain the primary attraction while still providing enough interaction to make progression feel satisfying. Players looking for complex puzzle mechanics may find the experience relatively simple, but those who enjoy story-driven horror adventures will likely appreciate the steady rhythm between exploration and discovery. One of the game's defining features is its cast of bizarre mascot characters. The title repeatedly suggests that players should meet and befriend the residents of the kindergarten, yet every encounter carries an underlying sense of unease. The mascots balance playful appearances with unpredictable behavior, reinforcing the unsettling contrast that has become the series' trademark. Rather than relying entirely on frequent jump scares, the game creates suspense through uncertainty, making players question whether each new character represents a potential ally or another hidden danger waiting to reveal itself. Visually, Garten of Banban 0 continues the recognizable style established by previous entries, using bright colors and cartoon-inspired character designs to disguise an increasingly sinister setting. The cheerful presentation works well against the darker narrative, making the gradual shift toward horror more effective than if the environments had been grim from the outset. Lighting, ambient effects, and carefully placed environmental details strengthen the atmosphere, while the sound design keeps tension high through subtle background noises and well-timed audio cues that encourage players to remain alert. Being offered as a free experience also makes the game easy to recommend, especially for players curious about the series. Its modest hardware requirements ensure that a wide range of PC users can enjoy the adventure without needing powerful equipment. While some animations and technical aspects still reflect the limitations of an independent production, these shortcomings rarely interfere with the overall enjoyment. The focus remains firmly on storytelling, atmosphere, and uncovering the origins of the mysterious kindergarten rather than pushing technical boundaries. Overall, Garten of Banban 0 successfully expands the franchise's lore while delivering an engaging blend of exploration, mystery, and psychological horror. It answers important questions about the series without sacrificing the intrigue that keeps players invested, and its approachable gameplay makes it suitable for both dedicated fans and newcomers alike. Although the puzzles and mechanics remain relatively simple, the compelling atmosphere, memorable character designs, and intriguing narrative create an enjoyable horror adventure that effectively sets the stage for the events of the later games.
