It's a great game. I've played it for dozens of hours now across the demo, playtest, and full version. The core gameplay foundation is excellent. Combat feels great, art style continues to impress me, and it's a great roguelike option for friends. The Risk and Reward system with afflictions is a big highlight. As you level up and heal, there's a chance to get handicaps. These run from small ones like being colorblind or dropping your weapon, to potentially run ending ones like losing arms or being constantly lit on fire. The thing that makes it so addicting though is that you're always in control of the situation that leads to these. Do you grind for more XP for one more level up, but be blind in one eye? Do you heal to max health but lose a toe making you trip when you sprint? It's even better with the addition of unique multiplayer afflictions. Ultimately it becomes a game about being more overpowered than you are horribly nerfed. That means each defeat is another attempt to try to skim out a little more HP, play a little more efficiently. There's also 10 difficulties that ramp each run up in intensity. The biggest issue with the game is probably just a lack of overall variety. You're going to get a fantastic 10-15 hours solo, more if you're playing multiplayer, but eventually you'll start to see the same afflictions and items in the shop, and each difficulty doesn't add TOO much beyond a few more mechanics/tougher + more enemies. For the price, though, I'd say it's well worth it for me personally with the overall quality of this game.

Honestly so far been a really great game to play with friends, however I will be giving it a negative review until this is changed/fixed. Challenges to unlock things, should be rewarded to the entire party, not just the specific person who "completed" it. At the moment I am speaking directly about the Rhino killing the first boss, as a full group of people will need to do 4 runs just for everyone to unlock this outfit, whoever gets the Rhino to kill the boss get's it, not the people who helped. Edit because people don't have any braincells: I said I would change it once it was fixed, this is me giving feedback, and I said I would recommend it once my issue is fixed. It isn't about the fact you can do this specific challenge solo or in pleb, it's more about putting in a bit of feedback so they know to make sure all the unlock criteria is correct, would you really sing the same tune about "just do it solo in 10 minutes" if this issue applied to the single hardest challenge in the game? No? Then be quiet. Reviews are specifically to share how YOU feel about a game. I said I enjoyed it but wanted 1 thing fixed. "It's a well known bug, why bad review D:" well you morons, that's what you do when there's a bug :D you say something about it, and quite frankly (No offense Featherweight Games) I don't care what development team says something will be fixed, UNTIL SOMETHING IS FIXED. Thank you Featherweight Games for the reply, I do look forward to making this a positive review.
