What an easy game to recommend. Personally wouldn't play this without playing the first game bc the more lore you're familiar with, the more meaningful everything is. Everything about the game was visually stunning. World, bosses, combat. Movement was extremely enjoyable. Main story was great and most of the side quests were actually good with some surprise encounters from the first game. Biggest gripe was the combat. Even though the combat looked good and felt good, the moment to moment combat in the overworld wore itself down pretty quickly. Any time you defeated a boss, all the overworld packs you cleared would respawn again. Granted there's a lore reason why, The bosses were holding back the overworld enemies, and killing them allowed them to gather and continue to grow stronger but it still made it tedious. Which is a shame bc the enemy variety was actually great, but you see them so often and tear through them so quickly that it's meaningless in the end.

It feels like a perfect blend of the movie Inception and the video game Prototype. Remedy never disappoints.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Control Resonant so far and want to continue playing more. So why the negative review then? Because the game currently has a memory leak issue which causes my performance to just drop 30/40 frames after an hour to 2 hours of gameplay. Basically my GPU starts drawing about 100 watts of less power ( from 420W all the way down to 320W) and that results in the aforementioned performance loss. Restarting the game fixes it for a while before the problem starts looping itself again. Constantly having to restart the game after every hour or so is souring the experience for me. It's honestly spoiled what has been an otherwise fantastic experience for me so far. I really hope Remedy can fix this soon because I genuinely want to keep playing this game man! But for now I am leaving this negative review here. I've seen a couple of threads about people suffering from similar memory leak issues so hopefully they can see this and report down their problems below.
