Sports game experience of the year. Mechanics are a great reflection of how the sport is actually played instead of a completely inaccurate fantasy (looking at you EA), and the ceiling of difficulty is immense. Graphics are simple enough to run it on a potato with two wires, but are still cute, and the music helps the feel-good vibe. Also, it's a one-man project, and yet there's been updates every day of the demo so far. temkosoft, make sure to get some sleep, you're doing the lord's work.

I literally feel like I'm taking CRAZY PILLS that the store description of this contains "easy controls", and that almost NO ONE else in the reviews is talking about how challenging and complicated this game is. I see the brilliance here. I've had some fun rallies and when I can get things working its v. fun. But the game is near unplayable on controller, and works MUCH better with mouse and keyboard, but there is just SO much going on. The ONLY thing I'm good at is blocking. timing a jump serve is hard af, timing spikes is slightly less hard, and playing defense is crazy when you have to worry about getting to the right place to dig the ball and then still have your mouse cursor on your side of the net where your teammate can get to it. Again, I see the brilliance here, I want to love it, but its just so f-ing HARD. Is the solution really "git gud"? Like I game constantly, I love gaming and I'm not incredible but jesus I'm not a total idiot or mentally deficient. IDK if something has changed recently with all these positive reviews but I am genuinely shocked no one else is mentioning how hard this frickin game is.
