Deadside - Dead by Name, Dead by Nature Story: There really isn't much of a story to keep you invested. You're simply dropped into a world that's supposed to be dangerous, but instead it mostly feels empty. The biggest threat isn't survival. It's trying to find a reason to keep playing. Game Mechanics: Deadside markets itself as a survival shooter, but it struggles to make either aspect enjoyable. The map often feels lifeless, with long stretches where nothing happens because the player population is just as dead as the game's title suggests. Ironically, the most active "players" you'll encounter are the AI. Calling them NPCs almost feels insulting to actual NPCs. These enemies seem to possess superhuman awareness, tracking you through foliage, instantly snapping onto your position, and landing shots with frightening accuracy. They feel less like AI and more like they're running ESP and an aimbot. Somehow they managed to be even more frustrating than some of the infamous AI encounters in games like Escape from Tarkov or ARC Raiders. Instead of creating tense firefights, they create moments where you're questioning whether the AI is playing fair at all. Pros and Cons Pros: +The gunplay can feel satisfying at times. +The visuals are decent. Cons: -The game feels empty due to its low player population. -AI has unrealistically accurate aim and awareness. -Combat often feels unfair rather than challenging. -Survival mechanics are fairly basic. -Not enough engaging content to keep players around. -The world lacks life and excitement. Conslusion Deadside unfortunately lives up to its name. A survival game depends on player interaction and believable AI, yet one is nearly absent while the other feels like it's cheating. Instead of fighting for survival, you'll spend most of your time either fighting AI that seems to have wallhacks and perfect aim or you will be RUNning around the vast map. 3/10 Until next time. Take care, everyone.

I liked this game when it released originally, it had promise. Playing again after the most recent 1.0 update it feels like a Temu version of DAYZ. Gunplay feels janky and unpolished, the sounds of the guns and feel are bad. Adding the survival aspect was a mistake in my opinion as berry bushes are everywhere! Player Population is very low on official servers unless you are Russian. The game feels empty and pointless after you build a base. Why go on? I will come back and update review as game progresses but for now its a No for me!
